This paper explores the books of Greek and Latin authors in the extensive library of Antonio Ruiz de Padrón (1757‑1823), knowledge of which we owe to the inventories made in 1814 and 1823. The persistent validity of the Classical authors is thus confirmed by the enormous importance of Neoclassicism at the time of the Enlightenment.
