Taltibius, the Achaean herald in Euripides’ version

Even if considered a minor figure, Taltibius has, in Euripides’ Hecuba and
Trojan Women, an increasing intervention. Beside giving him a sophisticated profile, the poet seems to experiment the potentialities of this personality: or he puts him in dialogue with himself, because Taltibius in Hecuba has an opposite character in relation to that of Trojan Women, or he puts him in connection with traditional heroes, namely Odysseus.
