Abstract

The unity of the fifth book of Dionysius of Halicarnassus’ Roman Antiquities becomes clear thanks to the authorial interventions and the presence of proemial concepts in the narrative. We can observe this development chiefly in the more elaborated scenes. This reinterpretation of the facts also separates them from the Annalistic and gives the book a new perspective
