Pathos: between action and discourse in Sophocles’ Oedipus Tyrannus

This article aims to analyse the pathos as narrative technique in the tragic plot of Sophocles, in Oedipus Tyrannus. The analysis focused on the dialogue between the characters in the first three episodes of the tragedy, with Aristotelian basis about the manifestation of emotions (pathemata).
