This paper starts from a quotation in Himerius Or. 40.40‑55 and examines the possibility that the rhetor could be mentioning a new poem of Aristotle in honour of Hermias of Atarneus, which would join the two poems dedicated to this tyrant that we already know. The key is the word θάλαμον, generally accepted in the editions of Himerius, but that entails some unsolvable problems. It is very probable, however, that we are dealing with a scribal error for θάνατον. If so, the information provided by Himerius would be consistent with what we know about the poems of Aristotle.
