Abstract

A mineração no mar profundo tem gerado um interesse crescente nos últimos tempos, particularmente ao nível da prospeção, pesquisa e aproveitamento de depósitos minerais sólidos. Sendo Portugal um dos Estados com potencial neste âmbito, no artigo procura-se identificar as lacunas que o ordenamento jurídico português apresenta na matéria — em particular, em relação à Lei n.º 54/2015, de 22 de junho —, a fim de formular recomendações para o seu desenvolvimento, designadamente, no que diz respeito ao regime da proteção do ambiente marinho.
