In Case C-9/00, concerning a request submitted to the Court of Justice under Article 234 EC by the Korkein hallinto-oikeus (Supreme Administrative Court of Finland), aimed at obtaining, in the pending dispute before that court between Palin Granit Oy and Vehmassalo Public Health Authority, a preliminary ruling on the interpretation of Article 1(a) of Council Directive 75/442/EEC of 15 July 1975 on waste (OJ L 194, p. 39; EEA 15 F1, p. 129), as amended by Council Directive 91/156/EEC of 18 March 1991 (OJ L 78, p. 32).
