This work seeks to identify the new dynamics surrounding the construction of the Ecological Constitutional State. It necessarily addresses the meaning of “Ecological Constitutional State” and “Sustained Democracy,” the changes and continuities in legal perspectives on the environment, and the coordinated dimensions of the Ecological State. The development of the latter topic justifies reference to the integrated conception of the environment, the institutionalization of fundamental ecological duties, the ecological injunction mandate, and the integrative action of the administration. Finally, some tensions within the Ecological Constitutional State are discussed.
