The form of collective characters in Memorial do Convento is built on two axes that cross and complete each other, establishing a dialectic relationship between singular and plural, individual and collective, which aims to highlight the true heroes of History. This article focuses on several processes, namely semantic, syntactic and rhetorical, that sustain this dialectic, among which the exploration of the narrative-axiological potentialities of enumeration stands out.
