Abstract

With sparse verifiable details, Luís de Camões’s biography has proven to be a creative field for several media, which have turned the literary creator into a polyhedral and transhistorical character open to diverse ideological readings. In this paper, we show that the comic strip has not been indifferent to the aesthetic and ethical potential of the author of Os Lusíadas, endowing him with versatile faces and roles throughout the ages
