A educação de pessoas adultas como promotora da igualdade de oportunidades entre homens e mulheres. Algumas reflexões

Abstract

This article attempts to develop a critical reflection on the importance of adult education for the promotion of equal opportunities between men and women. Based on the contributions of Paulo Freire, the humanistic teaching and the practice of recognition of achievements, some proposals for educational action designed for adults are presented, with the aim of questioning the traditional gender stereotypes, in the belief that the educational situations for adults must be seen as crucial possibilities for the construction of knowledge and as critical moments to promote the necessary change toward a better society.
