A Professional Training in Leisure in the Context of High School Professional Education in Brazil

This study is related to the organization of the curricula of technical courses in leisure integrated to high school in Brazil. The text reflects on the content and context of production of the documents that support them. The objective was to analyze the way curricula are institutionally presented, both in national references and in pedagogical projects. As a methodological strategy, we developed a document analysis. This analysis was carried out based on an examination of the norms that guide the curricula of technical courses in Brazil, as well as institutional documents related to technical courses in leisure offered in an integrated manner. Leisure training, since its introduction in the field of professional education, has been in dialogue with the discourses on work, social development and the market that circulate in this educational field. Furthermore, technical courses in leisure integrated to high school present in their projects, possibilities of dialogues with discourses on social equality, interpersonal relationships, inclusion and social rights.
