Abstract

The recent entry into force of the Centres for Qualification and Vocational Education, after the closure of the New Opportunities Centres, launched new challenges and boosted strong territorial dynamics in the area of adult education and training.
The aim of this paper is to report an experience developed in a CQEP, contextualizing the project, and reflect on the process and the achieved results.
The Henriques Nogueira School Group launched an innovative project that includes several partnerships in order to meet the needs of the territory in which it operates, thus becoming a true networking. One of these partnerships materialized in the development of RVCC Professional processes for obtaining qualification in Gardening Operator and Gardening and Green
Spaces Technician.
These cases enabled the professional certification of 12 adults. Personally, there were gains in their self-esteem, motivation to new learning and selfconfidence. However, these processes had no impact on the employment
status of these adults.
