Abstract

Taking as a starting point some texts of João Boavida on the didactics of philosophy, we acknowledge the value, importance and reasonability of his arguments and proposals. These arguments and proposals are intended to make the «teaching to philosophize» not only truly philosophical but also pedagogically enticing, rich and enthralling. As a further proposal and reinforcement of his reflections, we consider that an approach to the «teaching to philosophize» that is powerful and efficient is by the use of the imagination in the philosophical activity.
