On an uncertain date, D. Urraca of Castille and León sent D. Teresa of Portugal a draft of a pact of friendship and mutual support – currently preserved only in the Liber Fidei of Braga Cathedral –, in which was given to Teresa a vast territory in exchange for services rendered to her sister. In this first study of the document, some of its formal aspects will be observed, as well as the landlord to be granted to the portuguese ruler and a historiographical journey through the dating of the initiative. Throughout the text, some of the assumptions of the dates that have been attributed to it will also be questioned.
