The MFP-PP was one of the most notewhorty partidary actors of the right wing political espectrum during his existence, corresponding to the democratic transational period subsequent to 25 Abril de 1974 revolution until the events ocurred on 28 de Setembro de 1974 that resulted in the sacking of general António de Spínola of the republic presidency. The key factor that led to the diferentiation of this political movement above the myriad of political parties at the time was, mainly, his ideological density, consequence of a doctrinal archetype gradually consolidated due to the political origins of the MFP-PP in the last years of the Estado Novo. This article caracterizes ideologically the mfp-pp, explaning his doctrinal cornerstones and dissect his strutural vectors of political action, in order to assertively categorize the MFP-Partido do Progresso within the structural and epochal political-ideological spectrum.
