The paper discusses the use of technology in Virtual Reality in the production of audiovisual journalistic content. The theoretical-methodological reflection addresses experimental, applied and experiential research, micro-documentaries format in Journalism, and immersive journalistic genres. To describe the process of production, assembly, and distribution of immersive journalistic pieces, applied research was carried out in an experimental way to produce four micro-documentaries in VR on family farming. Were tested different framing, image and audio settings, journalistic techniques, and graphic elements in the construction of the immersive narrative. The results indicate that virtual reality application requires thinking about new skills and knowledge in journalistic practice, applied in pre-production, production, and distribution.
