Abstract

Aiming to be a revision, the principal purpose of this paper is to present the SRSD program to teach writing, used in a research project, and to describe the process of its adaptation in order to be applied in Coimbra schools. According to that purpose, this paper comprises previous references about learning and teaching writing, it refers to the context where the programs emerged and to its bases. That is the reason why topics on writing research and specific programs to teach the writing skills are included here.
