Abstract

This article contains some reflections that arose from a re-reading of some chapters of a book on qualitative research by Denzin and Lincoln (2003). After discussing the use of epistemological reflection in educational research, the author focuses on the evolution of subject/object relations (distancing, interaction, fusion) and on the transformation of the role of the researcher as a result of this evolution.
