Abstract

Reflection on this subject focuses on European regional policy, in particular in Portugal and, in a more specific perspective in the Portuguese outermost regions. A concise and chronologically introduction oriented on the genesis and evolution of regional policy within the European Communities. Established this initial tinting reference, we proceeded to a retrospective reading although brief of European regional policy in Portugal and the Portuguese outermost regions.
