Abstract

This paper presents the profile of ten communications professionals revealed in a qualitative research. Through the most frequent characteristics in their discourse they were divided in three groups, the self-promoters, the articulators and the executers, evidencing aspects of the performance of the communications practitioners in the Brazilian industry. It is intended, then, through literature research on contemporary work practices, the identification process of individuals and the areas of performance of communication management in organizations, to propose a critical analysis regarding each of these groups of profiles.
