Abstract

This article intends to describe Nelson Traquina’s legacy along three decades as media and journalism scholar and professor, in NOVA University’s department of Communication Sciences, bearing in mind the particularities within the historical context of journalistic profession in Portugal. Departing from his legacy, the article identifies issues for a research agenda in the current digital context.
