Informational capitalism and technological ubiquity lead to an increase in information sources that create a diversity of choices for the individual with a view to satisfying their needs and desires. This study focuses the digital platform Comunidade Cultura e Arte, self-defined as a platform for the distribution and/or access to informative content. In this sense, direct observation and content analysis are carried out for all publications on the platform in January 2020, and a questionnaire is applied to its readers (n = 1525), seeking to understand what motivates readers to use this platform as a source of information. The results highlight elements of the content production and dissemination process, which contribute to the readers' experience, among others: the uniqueness of the editorial project, with a diversity of cultural and artistic contents, the presence on online social media platforms and language used.
