El desarrollo de la carrera profesional de las mujeres: Particularidades y obstáculos

Abstract

Is it possible to talk about a professional and vital women’s professional career different from men’s one? Which are the main obstacles for their professional development? How important are the external and internal barriers? Does a theory concerning the particular women’s career development exist? What can the professional orientation provide? Starting from these questions, which depict some of the fundamental characteristics of the problems associated to women’s professional career, the aim of these pages is to develop an analysis intervention framework, which will allow us to understand and to show the particular complexity revealed when the professional and vital women’s professional career is constructed and developed. Such an aim drives us, first, both to the necessary formulation of the reference and conceptual elements as well as to the interpretation of the statistic and social context. After this, we will approach to the theoretic and intervention contributions derived from professional orientation.
