Abstract

This study focuses on the performance of the Education Inspectors in nursery education, in particular on the nursery teachers perceptions of the role and activity of those Inspectors, specifically at the Management Development and Integration of Students for Nursery Education and Elementary School. Mainly in a quantitative approach, the study was based on a questionnaire that was built for this purpose and involved 105 nursery teachers from 15 schools groups with the intervention of the Education Inspectors. The results show that these teachers characterize the performance of the Education Inspectors predominantly as Monitoring, enhancing the attention given to planning documents and curriculum management. However, they question the usefulness of the information provided in the Summary Report of the Inspection for the improvement of the mentioned issues.
