Abstract

This paper relates to a study on the contribution of pedagogical supervision and teacher training education to the development of the professional profile of Nursery School Teachers. The empirical research aimed at understanding how the prospective Nursery School Teachers value the contribution of their initial training, as a whole and in each one of its components, towards the mastery of the skills set forward in their Professional Profile. It was carried out in three Teacher Training Institutions and allows us to conclude that trainees have a positive perception of their Initial Training, highlighting the importance of Pedagogical Practice over the other components.
